MANY SEASONS IN ONE DAY…
My daughter, Eden (4yrs), just drew and presented this picture to me. Of course I am very proud of her, but when I look deeper, her drawing brings to mind that in one day we can experience all kinds of emotions, obstacles, and challenges that ‘shake us’ about.
Eden has drawn sunshine, rain (blue), wind (green), and clouds (black), all manifesting at the same time, which represent bit of a ‘rollercoaster’ day.
But at the end of that day, through all those challenges, look at the growth of that red flower… It’s bigger than the house – WOW!
My point: From the pen of a 4 year old… It is perfectly normal to experience highs and lows in our everyday walk with Christ – it is going to happen. But always remember, as you walk through many different challenges today, you are growing stronger and taller than anything around you… just like that flower!
– perhaps the red colour represents the blood of Jesus Christ (the True and Living God) that shields the flower from destruction?
SONG OF SOLOMON 2:11-12 ~ “For lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of singing has come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land.”
LEVITICUS 26:3-4 ~ “‘If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.”
