Our hope should never be based on ourselves, but solely in Jesus Christ (the True and Living God). For only He is faithful, trustworthy, and reliable through all circumstances.

Reflect on these promises:

  • “I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you” (Joshua 1:5)
  • “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you” (Isaiah 43:2)
  • “’For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has mercy on you” (Isaiah 54:10).

Along with these, there are many other promises in Scripture you can lean on to strengthen your hope in Christ. But today, there is a particular verse the Lord has me reflect on:

  • HEBREWS 6:18 ~ “IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO LIE.”

What God has said, IS. For it is impossible for Him to speak outside of TRUTH. What He has said, WILL BE!

So, as you reflect on Hebrews 6:18, are there any voices, or circumstances, telling you lies, dragging you backwards, and stealing your hope?

If there are, you need to cut these lying voices off, turn back to His word, His truth, and His promises towards you:

  • “I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11)
  • “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28)

These promises are for you because God did not lie when He made them. The enemy can’t snatch them, if you hold them in hope.

The truth is: You are not a failure, nor a mistake, because He says you are fearfully and wonderfully made (see Psalm 139:14), and He can’t lie.

Jesus will turn your situation around. He will lead you through this difficulty. He will hold you tight and give you abundant grace and strength to overcome. Because He has promised you good things, promised you peace, and promised to lead you forward in hope and victory.

Hold on to hope! The turn you made is not too big for God. All you need to do is return to His promises and He will lead you on the right path and renew your hope in Him.

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit” (Romans 15:13).
