HE LEADS ME BESIDE THE STILL WATERS!
I was taking time out at a local marina and took a photo of the ‘peace’ amongst the boats, and on viewing, it looks like God sent ‘someone’ to photo-bomb my shot – this was perfect timing, by a Sovereign God!
Through this image, we can learn a few things…
- God is always present
- He always knows when to speak
- He is always on time
Today, if you are struggling to understand His presence, Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Just be still like those boats upon the water.
If you need guidance, He is going to speak to you, and you will hear Him; “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left” (Isaiah 30:21).
If you cannot comprehend His timing, trust Him, for He has got you this far. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
I did not see that bird coming, but he appeared ‘suddenly’, out of nowhere; and God will do the same for you. Until then, be still.
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters; He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (Psalm 23:1-4).
