FEELING LIKE DIRT?
Whether it is through our own actions, or through the actions of others, we can have moments in life where we feel defeated, and unworthy; times when we “Feel like a piece of dirt”.
But in these dirty, cloudy moments, there is still reason to hope, because Almighty God took a ‘piece of dirt’, breathed life into that ‘dirt’, and ‘made the man’:
- “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being” (Genesis 2:7)
God then took the ‘man’ He formed from ‘dirt’, and placed him in a delightful place, Eden:
- “The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed” (Genesis 2:8)
The man who was once a ‘piece of dirt’, came into a place of fruitfulness:
- “And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil” (Genesis 2:9)
GOD TOOK DIRT AND FORMED HIM INTO A FRUITFUL MAN!
God can do the same for you because we may see dirt, but God sees a fruitful person in need of His breath.
Draw near to God and let Him breathe on you today. Because you are not dirt, you are special to Him.
