I have been praying and meditating through my journal today. I was drawn to this writing… KAINOS!
KAINOS: Something new being birthed for this moment.
– New, recently made, fresh, unused, unworn
– In respects of substance: of a new kind, unprecedented, novel, uncommon, unheard of.
MATTHEW 9:16-17 ~ “No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. 17 Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved.”
– God is going to do something new – KAINOS
– Something unheard of
– Something fresh, fresh existence
– Something uncommon, outside the box
– NEW wineskin for NEW wine
The new IS NOT a “new Christ” or a “new Holy Spirit” – they are the same yesterday, today, and forever – but the new is a KAINOS day prepared beforehand in Jesus Christ, to manifest for this moment.
– New signs manifesting of His glory and Spirit
– Awakening
– Revival
– Can’t look back at what was; this “new day” is KAINOS
JOHN 2:10-11 ~ “And he said to him, ‘Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!’
11 This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.”
Let us believe:
– The best is here now
– It has been held back till now
– There is going to be a miracle, a revealing of Christ
– The glory of God is going to manifest
– Many will believe
Lead us into the KAINOS for today, Lord.
