“This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it”

We are commanded to have faith in God and trust His purposes for our lives:

- “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
- “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose hope is the Lord” (Jeremiah 17:7)
- “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1)
When we follow the Lord, we can often find ourselves in situations that look far from what we expected. As a result, disappointment begins to set in, and our faith starts to deteriorate. Knowing this – that our circumstance can change in the blink of an eye – it is essential we are hearing or have received a word (or promise) from Jesus Christ to hold onto. For when circumstances display signs of failure in our lives, it is His word that will keep us strong and enable us to press the battle. Continued…
